Obscape develops and sells environmental monitoring equipment. The company aims to make real-time environmental data collection available to anyone who needs it by developing affordable devices that are easy to install, use and maintain. Obscape’s rapidly expanding product range currently includes a wave measurement buoy, water level gauge, time-lapse camera, weather station, rain gauge and water quality station.
All products send their real-time observations to the Obscape Data Portal using either cellular or satellite communication. Access to the portal is free of charge for the entire lifetime of the device. Design and production of electronics, housings and software are done in-house from the head office in Delft, The Netherlands and the production facility in Durban, South Africa.
